The butchers of Wellington will probably introduce a modified price list oil the Ist February. It is not likely that there will be any reduction in the price of beef. The export of beef has increased considerably of late, and the quotations for cattle have been well maintained. In face of these facts, no fall in tho retail price of beef is expected. There may bo a reduction in some of the prices for mutton. It has been arranged that the Industrial Exhibition in aid of the Kumara Hospital will be’opened by the Premier on February 13th.
