When seen by a Christchurch “Press” reporter, Mr Y. G. Bogue. of Now York, said: “Here in Canterbury you have lovely country, which is very attractive to me, as are the people also. They are energetic, enterprising, and appear well-to-do. _ Everyone also seems to have something to do—lf ho wants it, and there does not appear to be any signs that you have many povertystricken ones amongst you. I am, as I before said, very delighted with the people, and with the country, and have to acknowledge many kind attentions during my visit.”
