CAPTAIN REES BLAMED.

NEW PLYMOUTH, August 5. lh© Court- of Inquiry gave its finding this morning on the wreck of the barque Lizzie Bell. The judgment wag very exhaustive and lengthy. It found that the cours© as stated by the captain was not steered, and that the loss of the barque Was occasioned by negligent navigation. Captain Rees’s certificate was suspended for twelve months, and he was or. dered to pay £25 towards the cost of the inquiry.

Captain Grant, of the steamer Takapuna, was fined £5 for failing to appear on subpoena.
