About seven, miles north of the township of Taihape, on the Northern Main Trunk Line, is . a pretty little valleya natural clearing, surrounded with well-timbered hills. Under the name of Pongaroa it was originally designed for a village. Its name has now been changed to that of the Mataroa township, and about three score of quarter-acre sections, divided by streets, hav e been pre* pared for sale. Some of the land will b® offered in the course of a few weeks.
