SUICIDE IN SYDNEY

SYDNEY, June 24. Dr Thomas Henry O’Reilly, aged 37, who was until recently practising at Huntly, New Zealand, committed suicide by puncturing his femoral artery with a safety-pin. A few weeks ago deceased came to Sydney for the benefit of his health. On Saturday last h e was caught attempting to shoot himself, and at his own request was placed in a cell under observation of &he police. Until an early hour this morning he 'chatted with his watchers. Later, when he was supposed to be sleeping, he was ' discovered to be dead, the wound having been inflicted under cover of the blankets.
