An anonymous letter of a strange kind has been received 1 at the Wellington registry of the Supreme Court from Sheffield, England. It seems to refer to an estate, and the writer, who is evidently a person of education, unfolds some secret family history as to parentage. The surname Wells is used in the epistle. A conviction of approaching _dissolution is given as the motive which impelled the sending cf the communication, the writer of which promises that his (or her) name will be disclosed before long. Messrs Grr and Lodder have purchased, through an agent, three acres of land adjoining McNa.b’s Gardens, which lately became their pioperty. Mr Izard having subdivided a block of land near the Kbandallah Station, has written to the Onslow Borough Council asking that body tq take over certain metalled roads -which he has formed, through the property. The Councillors are to meet on Saturday afternoon next to inspect these, roads.
