An outcome cf the recent fire in Willis street has been the accumulation: of a quantity of stagnant water in the vicinity, from which a most • objectionable and dangerous odour now arises. Complaint has been made to the health authorities and steps are being taken te. abate the nuisance. Wheil these are adequately completed: it would be in the interests of residents in the locality if precautions were instituted against a recurrence of such a condition of affairs.
