AQUATICS.
A meeting of the Wellington Rowing Regatta Committee was held at the Star Club’s Boathouse on Monday, Mr G. H. Bethune being in the chair. The following officials for the forthcoming regatta were appointed : —Judges, Messrs Neil McLean, E. M. Boulton and Lieut.Colonel Hume; umpire, Mr A. G. Johnston ; starter, Mr N. Galbraith; timekeepers, Messrs T. L. Smith and Geo. Humphries; course committee, Messrs J. Calnan, G. Fache and J. H. Price, beat committee, Messrs H. Richards? N. Galbraith, W. Nidd and W. Fisher; hon auditors, Messrs R. P. Hood and C. R. Bendall. The entries received for the regatta are as follow :—Senior Fours, Canterbury and Wellington (two crewsf; Maiden Fours, Canterbury, Star (two crews) and Wellington; Senior Double Sculls, Canterbury (two crews), Christchurch Amateur, Wellington and Star; Junior Foul's, Canterbury, Nelson, Star and Wellington; Senior Pairs, Canterbury, Star and ■ Wellington; Youths’ Fours, Canterbury, Star and Wellington; Senior Sculls, R. F. Crosbie (Christchurch Amateur), C. W. S. Cox and P. G. Hutchinson (Star), J. Calnan (Wellington). It was agreed that the offer of the owners to run the Countess on the afternoon of the regatta be accepted. Reports received showed that about £BO had been promised for subscriptions.
