An alarm of fire was sounded about two o’clock on Sunday morning,’ when it was found that a bouse in Hargreave street occupied by Mr G. T. Mills, traveller, was on fire. The flames had a good hold ere the alarm was and the occupants only escaped with difficulty. The only articles saved from the house were a lady’s bicycle and a chest of drawers. There was an insurance of £l5O with the Manchester Firp Insurance Company on the house which is owned by Mr Herbert Hill.
