The half-yearly meeting of shareholders in the Bank of New South JW'iies • was held to-day. ■ The balance-sheet, when was adopted, shows a net profit of £100,463, which, •with the balance from last half year, left a balance of £126,743 for distribution amongst shareholders'. In accordance wth the recommen l.i • -tion of the directors a dividend was lettered at the rate of 10 per cent:, and £26,743 carried forward. The chairman, in moving the adoption .of the report and balance-sheet, referred to the heavy fall that had occurred in the price of wool. There was, however, he said, a growing impression that an upward tendency was to be expected. The gold output of the colonies .was well up to the standard.
