The Clareville School Committee has agreed to the appointment as headmaster of its school of Mr R. Drummond, at present at Parkvale. There were fortyfive applicants for the position before the hoard. The Masterton Agricultural and Pastoral Association is agreeable to allow the Wairarapa Trotting Club to have a five years’ lease of the track on the Masterton Show Ground to hold two trotting meetings each year, if the club is able to obtain permits. The rental is to be. for each race meeting held.
