OLD AGE PENSIONS.
Further applications for pensions under the Old Age Pensions Act wert, considered by Mr Kenny on Friday. Full pensions of £lB per annum were granted as follows : —Abraham Stott, 66 years old, 36 years in colony; James F. Weaver, 66 years, 42 years in colony ; Alary Ann Acton, 69 years, 34 years in colony; William O’Hara, 71 years, 41 years in colony; Ann Minifie, 66 years, 66 years in colony (Mrs Minifie was too ill to appear, and her daughter represented her): Jane Munro, 67 years, 30 years in colony; James Morrison, 76 years, about 40 years iu colony; Mary Moras»n, 80 years, about 40 years in colony (both these old people were too feeble to appear, and Mr J. G. W. Aitken represented them); Mary fileet, 80 years, 58 years in colony; George Fleet, 79 years, 35 years in colony ; Agnes Campbell, 81 years, 31 years in colony; Mrs Ann Hamilton, 66 years, 29 years in colony; Ellen Coffey, 68 years, 52 years in colony; Charles Poyke, 72 years, 43 years in colony; Maria Keys, 82 years, 59 years in colony; Jane Daroux, 68 years, 32 years in colony; John Thompson, 82 years, 46 years in colony; William Kewley, 74 years, 46 years in colony; Mary Marsden, 67 years, 26 years in colony; James Wiseman, 68 years, 27 years in colony; Edward Bond, 77 years, 51 years in colony; George Nash, 68 years, 39 years in colony; Alexander Wilson, 79 years, over 30 years in colony (Mr F. W. Alansfield represented the applicant, who is too infirm to'attend); Mary Wilson, 84 years, over 30 years in colony (who is blind and deaf, was also represented by Mr Mansfield); Charlotte Scott, 65 years, 30 years in colony; Isabella Muir, 66 years, 28 years in colony (subject to proof of age); James Turner, 83 years, 53 years in colony; Bridget Worth, 66 years, 36 years in colony (subject to proof as to ago) \ William Roberts, 72 years, 38 years in colony; Thomas Hunter, 83 years, 29 years in colony; William White, 82 years, 42 years in colony; Sarah Churchill (who was too ill to appear, and was represented by Mrs McLean), 83 years, 49 years in c/cmy;
Hans Peterson. Mary Andrews, who was gran tad a pension on Tuesday, was called upon to show why she had applied, when she had property of the value of £I2OO. Mrs Andrews explained that the property belonged to her son, and that she had transferred it to her son some years ago. There was, however, no record of the transfer, and the matter was adjourned for further inquiries. Other cases were dealt with as follows : Agnes Leslie, rejected, as she was only 62 years of age; William Horsfall, 69 years, 36 years in the colony, rejected, as he had been absent from the colony more than two years in the last 25 years; Alfred Keys, 69 years, adjourned for further inquiry as to the income of his wife from a farm owned by her; Michael Hamilton, 69 years, 30 years in colony, £ll per annum; Josiah Jaston, 69 years, 42 years in colony, £2 per annum; Good-
win G. Hood (adjourned in the absence of the applicant, who was represented by his wife); Sarah Fleet (postponed till August in order to enable her to complete the necessary term of residence); John Woodman, 67 years, 59 years in the colony, £10; Herman Laurenson, .67 years, 43 years in colony (adjourned for further inquiries as to the value of his property); Mary Quance, 72 v e ars, 36 years in colony, £8; Bartholomew Hughes, 68 years, 36 years in colony (postponed for proof of age and production of certificate of character); William Dahl, 72 years, 40 years in colony (postponed for further evidence as to qualifications).
