An amusing story is told of Professor Hugh McKenzie and Mr Cooper, the editor of the “Scotsman.” Mr McKenzie replied to some comments made by Mr Cooper on New Zealand politics, and the y Vnr.r of the reply may be judged from i ■<> that when Mr Cooper, a year or t .vo ago, visited the colony and was a.-ked if lie intended calling on the Minister for Lands, he replied:—“Well, if he is anything like that brother of his, I don’t want to see him.”
