A cable message states tbat an inquiry has been held at Perth into the circumstances attending the loss of the barque Sepia, which, when just finishing the voyage from London to Fremantle with 1200 tons cargo, struck on a reef off Carnac Island, twelve miles from Fremantle, and sank in ten minutes. As a result the Marine Board has suspended the certificate of the captain for nine months.
