JOSEPH MYERS.

IDENTIFIED AT MONTE VIDEO. ONLY £2O IN HIS POSSESSION. The police authorities on Monday received a cablegram from Sergeant Wright at Monte Video stating that the man who was arrested at that place, and about whose identification there wab somo doubt, wa3 in reality Joseph Myers, tho Wellington absconder. A portion of the cypher message was a trifle vague, and was to the effect that "Myers had 20." This was taken to mean that he had only £2O in his pocket* when arrested; though it might mean 20 shillings or pence; but it is unlikely that that would be thought worthwhile cabling. Myers will have to be taken to England before a ship can bo obtained sailing for these colonies, so that it if probable he will not reach Wellington tt faco his trial until the end of March.
