LAWN TENNIS.

At a meeting held at Newtown on Thursday evening, it was unanimously decided to form a club, and to lay down two asphalt tennis courts. To prevent overcrowding a limit was placed on the number of members, and it was decided to raise the subscription considerably after the Ist July. The offices of the club were all fi'led up, and Mr E. Y. was appointed secretary and Mr J. Lindsay treasurer. It is expected that play will comcnenoe early in July, and as tennis is again becoming 1 very popular it is expected that the club will have a most suscessful career.
