London, May 4. The Chester Cup resulted a 3 follows: Up Guards, 1; The Rush, 2 ; Piety, 3. London, May 5.
Merman started in the Chester Cup at 11 to 2. He led entering the straight, and secured fourth place after an exciting finish. The time was-4min 6 2-ssec.
