An analysis of persons receiving rations, rent and other allowances from the Auckland Charitable Aid Board, within the city and suburbs, shows that there are three times aa many women as men among the recipients, seven times as many lone women as there are men living alone, ten times as many women and children as there are adult males, and 28 times as many women and children as there are adult males living alone.
