Flemikg. —On November 14th, 1897, in Guy's Hospital, London, after long illness, William 1 Hamilton Fleming, eldest son of Henry Fleming, of 44, Warwick street, Deptford; aged 51 years. McCarrison.—On Sunday, the 17th April, at his father's residence, Lome street, after a long and painful illness, John MoCarrison; aged 24 years and 8 months. Takutai.—On the 20th April, at Katihiku, Otaki, Charlotte Ropata (Takutai), adopted daughter of James A, Stewart, of Waikanae. Maskell.—At his late residence, Parliament street, William Miles Maskel, Registrar of the New Zealand University; aged 58 years, R.I.P. [Friends are particularly requested not to send flowers.] Humfkey.—On the Ist May, at his*parents' residence, Rawhenua, Lower Hutt, Colin Hambly, only surviving son of Captain Humfrey, in hia eighteenth year. Smith. —On the Bth of May, at their residence, Ngahauranga, Edith May, infant daughter of John Robert and Elizabeth Smith; aged 16 months.
