A scene oocurred in the House of Commons early last month on the acknowledgment by the First Lord of the Admiralty that a seaman belonging to the first-class battleship Resolution had been sentenced to a fort* night's confinement and deprived of his good oonduot stripe for wearing the shamrock on St. Patrick's Day in disobedience to orders.
