London, February 3. A Conference has been held between the Australasian Frozen Meat Committee find the shipowner? and brokers concerned in the carriage of frozen meat. _ A number of shipowners and representatives of' the majority of the meat companies, banks and financial, shipping and investment companies were present. The matter of proper inspection of vessels, insu!ation and refrigerating machinery was thoroughly discussed. The shipowners present raised no objection to the suggested inspection, provided that qualified and impartial surveyors were appointed to cairy out the work. . A committee was appointed, consisting of 1 Sir Edward Montague Nelson (chairman of the Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company), Messrs E. T. Doxat (chairman of Dalgety and Co.), Grant and H. M. Paul. The committee was empowered to embody the views of the Conference in a permanent form.
