SEATOUN ROAD BOARD.

Mr Bawson presided at the last meeting of the Seatoun Boad Board, and the other members present were Messrs A. D. and C. J. Crawford. In reply to an application from Mr Reeves for permission to erect a boatshed on the side of the road at Karaka Bay, it was resolved that permission be granted to aoy persons to erect boatsheds on the side of the road at a place to be approved, upon payment of the sum of £1 per year, an agreement to be entered into on the conditions laid down by the Harbour Board. The resignation of the clerk (Mr Foster), who is in future to devote the whole cf his attention to his Melrose borough duties, was received with regret, and it was resolved to mvito applications for the position. Messrs Hearn and Williams asked for information as to the boundary of the district, so that a new school district might be defined. It was agreed to supply the information. The engineer was instructed to prepare plans and specifications for the No. 4 contract from the sheepyards to the pilot station, and it was resolved that the cost of fencing at tho deviation opposite the sheepyards be borne by the Board. Authority was given to the engineer to have any new roads blinded, as he thinks fit.
