Deab Sib,— I took out a policy in your Office in 1876, and it became due the other day. I beg to say that the money -was paid to me on the very day it was due, and that [although II had only paid in premiums .£164 10s Od my cheque amounted to £248 17s Od. There are policies in force in New Zealand held by various Societies to the extent of £16,900,000, of which the Government Office holds over £8,000,000, the other half being distributed among seven other Associations.
