Auckland, May^G. The Alburnia crushed 314 tons for 1570 z, valued at <£4l9. The Waitekauri crushed 1861 tons for 28850 z gold, valued at £3500. Auckland, May 8. During the four weeks ending May Ist, the Waibi Goldmining Company crushed and treated 3060 tons for a yield of bullion valued at .£9304. Auckland, May 10. The Kapai-Vermont return from 220 tons was 1570 z, valued at <£4oo 7s. At the share market to-day the following business was done: —Victoria, 2s3d ; seller*, 2s Gd : buyers, 23 2d. Imperial, 9d ; sellers, lOd ; buyers, 9d. Ivanhoe, 4d ; sellers, 4£d ; buyers, 4d. Associated Reefs, 4£d; sellers, 6d ; buyers, 3£d. The return of the New Zealand Crown mine at Karangahake for April was 1181 tons crushed, for a yield of £3105. Eeefton, May 7. A reef 6ft wide has been struck in Inkerman, concerning which more will be known in a few days. Charlos Williams struck a good payable reef in the Victoria Range a few days ago. Stone had been traced to fully 200 ft. The discovery was made in a watershed of Larry’s creek, and aboat 50 chains north of the tunnel now being driven in the -Lord Brassey mine. Reeeton, May 8. ' The reef discovered by Mr C. Williams, the well-known mining expert, in the Earl of Brassey lease, situated on Mount Victoria, has been traced for a distance of 200 feet. It averages four feet wide, yielding 2oz to the ton. A quarter share in the lease was yesterday disposed of for .£3OO. Invercargill, May 8. The last fortnight’s crushing at the Morning Star mine, Preservation Inlet, returned 2950 z, valued at £1265, from 158 tons of stone. Dunedin, May 10. Mining returns : Sew Hoy Big Beach Company, 230 z lOdwt of gold for a week’s dredging; Upper 'Waipori Company, 430 z 16dwt (two dredges) ; Jutland Flat Company, 31oz 2dwt.
Mr A. T. Bate, sharebroker, received on Monday the following wire : —“ Kaiser, four loads winze Boz 4dwt retorted gold.”
