The second day’s racing of the Newmarket Spring Meeting took place to-day. Owing to an irregularity in' regard to forwarding his fees, Mr George Cooper has been notified by tho secretary of the Wellington Bacing Club that he has forfeited the stalcos won by Much Ado in tho Hurdles on tho first day at the Hutt Meeting, in accordance with rule 58. As bets go with the stakes, thi3 will prove a serious loss to Mr Cooper.
