At the monthly meeting of the Hutt County Council on Tuesday there were present—Councillors G. Brown (chairman), F. Wakeham, C. W. Brown, D. Speedy, W. Jillett, F. A. Majendie, F. Bradey, H. A. Field and 11. Cook.

A letter was received from the Secretary to the Treasury approving of the -£SOO for making a portion of Gollan's Valley road.

It was resolved to ask the Seatoun Road Board to supply the Council with a copy of the proposed sanitary by-law for sanitary arrangements at Seatoun. Councillor Majendie reported with reference to the old traok on Gear's property that in his opinion the track never was a road within tho meaning of tho Public Works Act, and that no person would suffer any injustice by the Council allowing Mr Gear to obtain a transfer title to the section. The Council offered no objection to the title being issued. Accounts amounting to =2551 15s 8d were passed for payment. The Inspector of Eoads was instructed to prepare plans of a bridle track on the Hutt-Waikanae route to connect the existing cart tracks.
