FEATHERSTON.

The weather for the past 24 hours has been very bleak, snow and hail falling constantly. The hills are snow-covered lower down than they have been for some time. At a meeting of representatives and delegates of various racing clubs, it was decided that the delegates to the Racing Conference should support the country clubs in getting a fairer representation on the Metropolitan Club, say, country clubs four to metropolitan representatives three ; also to get the Rules of Racing altered, so that clubs should, if they desire it, pay out on the placed horses; also to oppose life members in the event of a New Zealand Jockey Club being appointed.
