THE CABINET.

The Cabinet, on Tuesday night, approved of the following matters = — Whangamomona Improved Farm Settlement, expenditure £ IOO. Merrivale Estate, expenditure ,£250. Wliangarei - Kamo Railway extension, expenditure .£3OOO. Acceptance of the tender of Mr Zajoulciski for erection of Marton Post Office. Acceptance of tenders for mail services throughout the Colony.

The Land Purchase Board’s offer to purchase, under the Land for Settlements .Act, 412 S aci-es of the Matamata Estate, and the offer by the Board to purchase 13,341 acres of Waikato lands belonging to the Assets Realisation Board, made up as follows:—6s2B acres of the Okauia Estate, 2711 acres of the Karapiro Estate, 4102 acres of the Rangiatea Estate, comprising sections Nos. 1,6, and part of No. 2, Waikekau Block.

Approval was also given to the offer made by the Board to purchase for workmen’s villages 331 acres of land at Johnsonville, Wellington, within 200 yards of the Johnsonville railway station, known as Jake’s Farm.
