WELLINGTON'S MILK SUPPLY.
At Tuesday’s meeting of tho Dairy Regulations Committee, the inspector said lie had made an examination of 103 samples of milk during the mouth. He said tho blitter fat result yvas very high, being I'7, the standard being 2 .5. The lowest test was 2'B, and the highest yvas 8 per cuit. On the yvliole he yvas satisfied Hut. (lie city yvas supplied yvith a very satisfactory article. r Fhe Mayor ot Melrose said the standard was not Kiillioiontly high to protect the consumer. Air Burridge (Pctonc) said that the standard of 2'5 yvas too low. It was little better than skimmed milk. Ho.suggest-d that the committee take steps to have the standard altered. The inspector yvas directed to take a dozen samples from the delivery cans and have them tested.
