THE LEVIN STATE FARM.
The management of the htale Farm at Levin have made arrangoui -nts with the New Zealand Farmers' Dairy Union to purchase the milk from the farm. Petweon 70 and 80 cows will he milked, and the necessary buildings aro now in coiii'so of erection, together with some new cottages for the employees. It is proposed to ran the dairying business oil tho co-operative system, tho men and women engaged being paid so much per gallon for the milk. Tho breeding of pigs, of which there are now close on 150 on tho farm, is to be carried on, and arrangements have been made with various butchers for the purchase of the pork. Beo-keeping is also receiving attention, and it is proposed to make a start with the raising of poultry.
