Melbourne, May 2. The Inter-University Boat Race resulted iu a win for South Australia, New South Wales second. A crew from Victoria also started, but their boat was almost swamped by passing a steiuner, and they were thus thrown practically out of tho race. The South Australians won easily by ten lengths.

The final heat of the Port Nicholson Model Yacht Club races for the Dresden Company's piano stool was decided on Saturday, and resulted iu a win for Mr If. Norton's Thistle by lmin 2l>sco, Mr F. W. I'etheriek's Maysecond. Mr Norton's Thistle wins the stool with 10 points, Mr I'etheriek's May being second (.Mr J. li. Speed's trophy) wdth eight points, Mr Whiteman's Wasp, third, with four points.
