Court Primrose (Petono) held its usual meeting on Thursday evening- in the Oddfellows’ Hall, P.O.R. Sister McLaggan in the chair. A special interest was lent to the proceedings by the fact that the officers and members of Court Lady Glasgow (Wellington) were present by invitation, as were also the officers and members of Court Epuni (Petone). P.C.R. Sister McLaggan and P.C.R. Bro. Lusty warmly welcomed the visitors, about 40 of whom journeyed out in brakes. The Foresters’ fire was also given in their honour, led off by secretary Sister K. Fraser. C. R. Sister VVoolcott, in a few words, thanked Court Primrose for the hearty welcome afforded them, and the manner in which the sisters had entertained them. Secretary N- Aston also thanked the Petone sisters for their hearty reception of herself and fellow sisters, and. on obtaining permission of P.C.R. Sister McLaggan, led off the Foresters’ fire given by Court Lady Glasgow. During the evening P.C.R. Sister McLaggan was presented by P.D.C.R. Bro. smith with a P.C.R certificate and neck ribbon. Sister N. Aston, secretary of Court Lady Glasgow, extended to Court Primrose and also to Court Epuni a cordial invitation to visit her court at an early date. The meeting then c 7 osed and the visitors were escorted to the large hall, which was fitted up for the occasion, aud dancing was indulged in. During the evening songs were given by Sisters Johnson, Marsh and Brocklehurst, of Court Primrose ; Sister E. Stennet, of Court Lady Glasgow ; and Bros. Rose and Monnock, of Court Epuni. Bro. Monnock also contributed a step dance. Every credit is due to the committee, also to Bro. Webley (Court Epuni), who worked energetically for the success of the gathering. A tolophone office is now open at Waituna West, Wellington District.
