THE IRISH PARTY.
London, February 9. Mr Sexton lias been unanimously offered the leadership of' the McCarthy section of the Irish Party. He takes time to consider the matter.
Mr Sexton is the most brilliant of the Irish Nationalist Party—one of the most able orators of the House of Common, and a skilled parliamentarian. He is a Waterford man, educated privately ; was on the editorial staff of the Nation for 18 years, and is chairman of the Board of the Freeman’s Journal Company. He has been Lord Mayor of Dublin.
