Paris is said to be the cleanest city hi the world. Every morning 200 J male ar.d GOO female scavengers, divided into 149 brigades, turn out to perform the toilet of the capital. The men work from four in the morning to four in the evening, less two hours off for meals, or ten hours a day. The women are engaged in the morning only.
