Time, 2min 43sec. The betting at the start was :—9 to 1 agst Sir Visto, 100 to 8 Kirkconnell, 33 to 1 Curzon, 100 to 15 Laveno. Beckhampton, which ran fourth, led the field into the straight, when Sir Visto made his effort, and won by three-quarters of a length. It was an unexpected victory, and the crowd wildly cheered Lord Rosebery as he led the winner back to the saddling enclosure. London, May 31. At the Epsom Summer Meeting the Oak Stakes, of 4500 sovs, about one mile and a half, resulted in a win for Sir J. Miller’s b f La Sagesse, Mr Leopold do Rothchild’s Galiana second, and Lord Bradford’s Penkridge third. The Epsom Grand Prize, of 2000 sovs, about one mile and a quarter, was won by Mr Russel’s Whittier, Mr J. Best’s Powick second. No third horse was placed,
