The Lodge, No. 8, U.A.0.D., held its fortnightly meeting at the lodge room, Cuba street, last week, Arch-Druid Bro. Binnie presiding. There was a large attendance of members, including about 20 brethren from Petone, who attended by' invitation. J. Maeffay), in proposing the toast of “The Visitors,” gave a short resume of the history of the District Grand Lodge, in which he showed that it was making g*ood progress, financially and numerically, two new lodges having been opened since its formation in February, and others being in prospect. He hoped at no distant daib to welcome into the ranks of the - District Grand Lodge thq,?e lodges 'which' 1 werE’hoW' standing but. The Arch-Druids' of the Ponekb,' Excelsior and other lodges having responded, 'the meeting was brought to a' close in the usual 1 Druidic' manner; ‘ Pid! J. N.
