THE MISSING KETCH COMET.

Christchurch, May 17. Cook Bros., of Lyttelton, owners of the ketch Comet, now 30 days out to Greymouth, incline to the belief that the wreckage sighted off Jackson’s Head belonged to their vessel. The Comet had a cargo of produce. The vessel, and cargo were uninsured. The Comet was a staunch little hardwood vessel of 58 tons, well found In every particular. She was commanded by Captain Thompson, an old skipper, who had a long experience of the New Zealand coast. Her cargo consisted of 400 sacks of produce.
