Tho beautiful silver cup given by the Wellington Racing Club to tho ownor of tho winner of tho Wellington Cup lias boon engraved by Mr W. Bock. Tho inscription on oaoli side of tlio trophy is as follows: “Tho Wellington Cup, won by Mr H. To Kani Pore's br h Maliaki, 4yrs, Ingomar— Stoppo." Tho engraving, which is in old English, has boon carried out by Mr Bock in a most workmanlike manner. Tho London Sportsman says that if Carbine had boon put up to auction ho would liavo brought -820,000. Tho paper is unable to understand tho Court permitting a private sale.
