ELECTIONS OF TRUSTEES.
Mrs Fitz Gerald and Archdeacon Stock were re-elected trustees of the Ladies’ Christian Association yesterday week. At meetings held in the Queen’s Chambers yesterday week the following trustees were re-elected: —Mr T. W. McKenzie (Benevolent Institution), Messrs J. E. Smith and T. W. McKenzie (Home for the Aged and Needy), and J. Danks (Hospital Trustees). At the meeting of contributors to the Wellington Hospital Convalescent Home yesterday week in Thomas’ Hall, Mrs A. de B. Brandon was elected a trustee, in place of Miss Johnston. Mesdames T. C. Williams and A. K. Newman, the two other retiring trustees, were re-elected. The secretai-y (Mrs Maxwell) submitted a report, in which she stated that the gift of a site at Oriental Bay, made by Mr McLean, of Hawko’s Bay, was one which deserved the gratitude of the citizens of Wellington. The following ladies had consented to act as visitors : —Misses Godfrey and Pearce, and Mesdames Barron, Ewart, W. Fitz Gerald, Fulton, Johnston, Kernber, Levin, Moorhouse, Martin and J. Smith. The Countess of Glasgow had taken great personal interest in the Home, and had provided a cot for one child. After allowing for various liabilities, there was an available balance of <£944. Masterton, January 10. At the annual meeting of contributors to the Masterton Hospital this afternoon, Messrs W. li. Beetham and J. lorns were elected trustees. Mr R. T. Holmes has been re-elected 1 chairman of the North Wairarapa Benevolent Trustees. Dijneoin, January 10. The supporters of the Medical School have succeeded in getting two trustees elected who are favourable to medical school lecturers being on the Hospital [ staff.
