THE CHALLENGE BADGES. A match of 21 heads was played on the Wellington Bowling Green on Saturday afternoon for the possession of the Edwin Challenge Badges, between Drummond, Muir, J. Brown and T. Scoullar (skip), who are the present holders of the badges, and a team from the Newtown Bowling Club, consisting of Telford, Morris, Ewart and Tustin (skip). The contest was very interesting. The results were—T. Scoullar’s team, 24; Tustin’s team, 22. The winners scored in 11 heads and the losers in 10 heads.

THORNDON CLUB. The following games were played on Saturday afternoon : No. 4 Rink.— Jameson, Nairn, Rose, Falconer (skip). 21, v. Elliott, Tinney, Wright, Ross (skip), 9. No. 5 Rink. — W. Nathan, Archibald, S. Lambert, Barry (skip), 22, v. Koch, Cooper, D. Nathan, W. Lambert (skip), 10. No. 6 Rink. —Burns, Murrell, Exley, Lindsay (skip), 24, v. Turnbull, Mclntyre, Murdoch, Flanagan (skip), 5. No. 7 Rink.— Quick, Habens, Parsons, McGlashan (skip), 19, v. Leslie, Hey wood, Maskell, Mowbray (skip), 11. The first round for the representation of the Club in the contest for, the Edwin Challenge Badges was played, when Lindsay’s team beat Lambert’s by 25 to 11, and McGlaslian’s beat Salmon’s by 20 to 14.
