Norton, the Grand National Steeplechase winner, and Mr Gollan’s recent purchase, the hurdle racer Ebor, arrived from Melbourne by the Hauroto on Wednesday, and will go on to Auckland by the Takapuna on Saturday. James Hickey is in charge of the horses. Mr J. F. Mills, of - Wellington, has purchased the steeplechase%elding Elk. (Thursday) afternoon, and, amongst other business, the programme for the proposed Taratahi-Carterton Race Meeting on January 31st will receive consideration.
Secretaries of racing clubs are reminded that illustrated cards and programmes can be printed at the New Zealand Times Office at two hours’ notice. Customers will find it the cheapest printing office in the Colony.
