The Wellington Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s Earn and Ewe Fair will be held on the 23rd January. The regulations relative to the New Zealand Consols and the Government advances to settlers are gazetted. Mr Bruce, Chief Inspector of Stock in New*South Wales, who recently visited Europe, strongly recommends the amalgamation of the leading frozen meat companies in Sydney to erect powerful works and perform all branches of the trade. The alteration in the contract arranged between Messrs Nelson Bros, and the shippers through the Wanganui Freezing Works is a reduction of id per lb, and nothing but prime sheep to be supplied.
