MASONIC.

ANNUAL MEETING OF LODGE 1 WATERLOO.

The annual meeting of Lodge Waterloo, No. 13, New Zealand Constitution, was held on Monday night in the MasQmcHall. There was a very large number of members and visitors present. The Most Worshipful Grand Master Bro. H. D. Bell, attended by Bro. E. T. Gillon, M.W.P.G.M., and Bro. R. C. Hamerton, grand registrar, Bro. the Rev W. Ronaldson, grand secretary, and Grand Lodge officers, was admitted and received with the usual honours. A Board of Installed Masters was formed at which 33 P M/s and W.M/s were present. Bro. E. T. Gillon, M.W.P.G.M., having installed Bro. George MacMorran as Worshipful Master, Bro. George Wilson was invested as I.P.M.

The following officers were then invested: —D.M., Bro. J. D. Georgeson, P.M. ; S.W., Bro. J. W. Davis; J.W., Bro. G. B. Clark ; secretary, Bro. D. Greig, P.M., P.G.J.D.; treasurer, Bro. Robert Thomson ; chaplain, Bro. John Young ; organist, Bro. W. Poster; S.D., Bro. Churchward; J.D., Bro. Baumgart; 1.G., Bro. H. P. 'Lattey ; tyler, Bro. J. 'Stevenson; S.S., Bro. Keals; J.S., Bro. Curtis.

Bros. George Wilson, P.M., A. J. Masters, P.M., and H. J. H. Eliott, P.M., ably performed the duties of Installing Masters. Bro. A. Lindsay, P.M., and G. McGregor Wright acted as Directors of Ceremonies. The M.W.G.M. Bro H. D. Bell having addressed the members and visitors, the Grand Lodge officers retired. During the ceremony Bro. A. Clothier, P.M., contributed the solo “ O Salutaris,” composed by Bro. George Robertson, P.M., and the Masonic Orchestra performed several selections.

Congratulations .having been received from the visiting brethren, the Lodge adjourned. A banquet afterwards took place, at which the usual Masonic and loyal toasts were honoured.
