MISSING FRIENDS.
With a view to further increasing the utility of the .New Zealand Mail, the Editor has decided to introduce a new feature in the shape of a Missing Friends’ column, in which will be published the names of persons for whom their friends are enquiring in the Home weeklies. Enquiries from persons in New Zealand and in the Australian Colonies for information of missing friends will be inserted in this column at the rate of Is for each insertion. Replies will be forwarded to the Editors, of Lloyd’s and other papers if desired. All correspondence for this column should be addressed . DAVIES (JOHN) left Hyde on May 1, 1863, to go to Canterbury, New Zealand. Sister Janetta has had no tidings since * 1866. GARDNER (JAMES) went to Auckland, New Zealand,' some 17 years since. CROWLE ('FRANCES JANE), native of Cornwall, left Plymouth to go to New Zealand about 1877, and was last heard of from Green Island 10 years ago, when married. Sister Emma is anxious for news. HOGAN (JOHN) left Westminster for New Zealand some 49 years ago, and was last heard of at a banker’s in Auckland, N.Z. Sister Bridget asks. JACKSON (FREDERICK and JOHN) went to Australia An. August, 1882, and John last wrote home in June, 1888, when about to sail from Melbourne in the brig Trynant to New Zealand and back. Parents, sister Lizzie, and brothers Tom

no news since. PHILLIPS (FREDERICK) was a private in No. 5 Company/ 50 Regiment, Auckland, New Zealand, when he last wrote on February 7th, 1852. Sister Eliza can gain no tidings since. ROWLEY.—News wanted of John Capper Rowley, native of Lichfield, house painter '■* and plumber, who left Pleasant street, Burslem, in 1871. Was heard of five or six years ago; then in Sydney, N.S.W. Supposed to be in Auckland, New Zealand. His daughter, Louisa Swindell, care of Editor, Reynolds’s Newspaper, inquires. . •
TRIPLOW.—If this should meet the eye of Joseph Triplow, or anyone knowing his whereabouts—last heard of two years ago, when he was at Hamilton East, Waikato, Auckland, New Zealand—his brother would be glad to hear of him. Address, Eli Triplow, care of editor, Reynolds’ Newspaper.
WILKINS.—News would be gladly received of Mrs James Wilkins (maiden name Fludgell), who left London in 1865, last address, Tinakori road, Wellington, - New Zealand. Last heard of in 1873. WRIGHT.—News wanted of Alexander Wright, who left Edinburgh about eighteen years ago for New Zealand. Would any of his children, or any kind friend knowing. him, communicate with his nephew, R. Wright, care of Editor Reynolds’s Newspaper.

LAURENCE. —Eawaid Laurence, who left England: <r India about 50 years ago, died in New Zealand about ten years ago, and in reply to his sister’s inquiry his two sons Edward and George Laurence wish to reply. LEWIS (EDWARD) left home 21 years back and was last heard from in December, 1879, at Otapo, Otago, New Zealand. His widowed mother, brother, and sisters long for tidings. & WALTERS (W. JOHN) was last heard of at Gisborne 17 years ago. Nephew Wm. Walters asks.
JEWISS (JOHN and HENRY) are anxiously enquired for by their parents. John left Plumstead about 1874 for New Zealaild, and obtained a situation as coachman there. . Henry joined his brother a few years after and worked at steam brickmaking. When he last wrote Lome, 10 years since, he gave his address as Post Office, Sydney, N.S.W.
