Freeman R. Jackson and Co.’s Jolm-. sonville stock report (telegraphed on the sth to the Mail from Johnsonville) is as follows : Wo had a full market of cattle, and these, with the exception of a couple of pens, were of good quality. We had no wethers in the sale. The bidding for fat ewes was dull, and low prices ruled. Lambs were small and generally inferior as to quality. Pigs were in limited numbers, and sold well. Cattle — Best bullocks made from <£B to £8 10s, and others £7 5s to £8 ; small bullocks, £6 10s to £7, equal to 19s the 1001 b. Sheep—Ewes, 7s 8d to 8s 2d ; lambs, 7s to 7s Id ; inferior lambs, 5s to 6s Bd. Pigs—Small baconers, 82s ; light porkers, 16s 6d to 18s 6d ; suckers, 8s to 11s 3d. The following is the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company’s report of the Addington market (telegraphed on the sth to the Mail) Beef—Large entry, principally second quality ; demand slack. Prices declined Is 6d per 1001 b on prime, and 3s on cow beef. Store and dairy cattle —300 1 yarded ; demand steady at last week’s prices.

Napier, December 5. The first wool sales of the season were held fcpday. - Tlie attendance of English buyers was not so riufriefßus as at last year’s sfiles. Naturally a fall in prices was expected in sympathy with the tone of the Home market, hut fleece wool suffered by comparison with last year’s prices to a greater extent than locks and pieces, for which there was good local competition. Of the 4000 bales offered only about ' a fourth were quitted at the following prices : —Light bright fine grades crossbreds and strong crossbreds, 6|d to parcels, neglected, making only from to 6id ; merinos, from 4fd to sfd ; all being of low grade ; locks, 2d to 3£d.
