WELLINGTON. The municipal elections took place on the 13th ult., and attracted a fair amount of interest. Councillor McGregor defeated Mr A. H. Burton by a majority of 134 for High Ward. Mr A. Morrison was elected for Bell Ward, polling 165 more than Mr A. S. Adams. Auckland, September 13. At the municipal elections Mrs Matson Avas returned for the Boi-ough of Parnell by a majority of 90. For the Grafton Ward Mr W. B. White was i*etui'ned, the outgoing member, Mr PoAvley, and Mrs Endean both being defeated.
