There are 70 inmates—sl males and 19 females—in the Benevolent Home. The return showing where the inmates of the Home came from, asked for by Mr Baylis, was presented at the meeting of the Benevolent Society Trustees yesterday. Thirteen came from the -Wairarapa, four from Hawke's Bay, two from West Coast, and one each from South Island, Palmerston and Nelson, and the remainder from Wellington. "SWIFT CYCLES." The Coventry Machinists' Co. invite application* from firms of good standing to represent them as sole buying agents in the various larjre centres in New Zealand for tho sale of their celebrated '« Swift'' Cycles.
