, ANNUAL MEETING OF LODGE , WELLINGTON, No. 1521. i The annual meeting of Lodge Wellington, 1 No. 1521, E.C., was held in the Freemasons' : Hall, Boulcott street, last Friday. There was a large attendance of members and visitors. The principal business of the evening was the installation of Bro. William Jessup as Worshipful Master for the ensuing 12 months, and the investiture of officers. The R.W.D.D. Grand Master, Bro. Sir Edward Osborne Gibbos, Bart., and officers of the District Grand Lodge, E.C., having been announced, they were admitted and saluted in the usual manner. The Director of Ceremonies, Bro. A. Gray, P.M, presented Bro. William Jessup as Worshipful Master-elect. A Board of ' Installed Masters having been formed ho was duly installed as Worshipful Master for the ensuing year. Bro. 11. J. Brooke, D.G.5.8., ably performed the duties of Worshipful Installing Master. The following officers were then invested :-1.P.M., Bro. IL J. Brooke; S.W, Bro. G. Allport; J.W., Bro. A. D. Riley; chaplain, Bro. G. G. Knight; treasurer, Bro. W. Cock; secretary, Bro. F. Hartmann ; organist,“Bro. W. E. Dasent; S.D., Bro. S. Robinson; J.D., Bro. A. R. Meek; 1.G., Bro. M. C. Barnett; Tyler, Bro. Eli Buck; stewards, Bros. A. S. Chapman and P. Kenna. After some routine business had bc.n transacted, the Lodge was closed. A banquet aftewards took place, at which the usual Masonic and loyal toasts were duly honoured. Songs were contributed by several of the brethren during the evening. ANNUAL MEETING ULSTER LODGE, No. 62, N.Z.C. The annual meeting of Ulster Lodge, No. 62, N.S.C., was held on Wednesday in the Masonic llall, Petono. There was a large attendance of members and visitors. The Grand Superintendent of Wellington, Bro. H. J. Williams, P.D.G.M, and Grand Lodge officers * were received and saluted in due form. ->■ Bro. John Teasdalo King was then presented by Bros. F. J. Dawes, P.M., and R. Motlies, P.M., as Worshipful Master-elect for the ensuing year. A Board of Installed Masters having been formed, Bro. King was duly installed as Worshipful Master by V.W. Bro. R. C. Hamerton, P.S.G.W. The following officers were invested by V. Bro. H. J. Williams, P.D.G.M. : S.W, Bro. J. G. A. Castle ; J.W, Bro. G. Renai; Treasurer, Bro. M. Cargill; Secretary, Bro. W. H. Bennett; Organist, Bro. Whitson ; S.D. Bro. W. J. Kirk ; J.D, Bro. E. Turner; LG, Bro. R. B. Williams ; Chaplain, Bro. Rev A. Thomson; Director of Ceremonies, Bro. W. G. Lodder; Tyler, Bro. J. Ryan. Congratulations having been received from the visiting brethren, the Lodge was closed. The Masonic Orchestra during the ceremony performed several selections. A very successful conversazione wa» afterwards held in the hall, at which about 50 couples were present. Duringthe evening songs were contributed by Bros. Clothier, P.M, R. B. Williams, and several other brethren. The installation of Bro. C. W. Maclean, P.M, as W.M. of Lodge Rangitikei, No. 28, N.Z.C, took place in the Masonic Hall, Bulls, Bro. Thos. King, P.M, most ably performing the duties of Installing Master. There was a very large attendance. The Grand Lodge of New Zealand was represented by Bro. E. T. Gillon, P.G.M, and Bro. Williams, D.G. Sup. After the W. had been installed ho invested the following officers: —S.W, Bro. J. M. Broughton, P.M.; J.W, Bro. E. Levett; S.D, Bro. Thomas Surman; J.D, Bro. Guthrie; Treas, Bro. T. Munro: Sec, Bro. T. King, P.M.; Organist, Bro. A. Sutcliffe, P.M.; I.G, Bro. E. Fowell; Tyler, Bro. F. Webb. The W.M. presented an M.M. Jewel to Bro. Webb in recognition of his long service as Tyler. A banquet took place in the Town Hall.
