A fire broke out in a base-ball stand in Boston, and spreading with alarming rapidity, destroyed buildings extending over 12 acres. Five hundred families have been rendered homeless, and it is estimated that the damage will not fall short of 1,000,000 dollars.

The miners who were entombed through the Great Aurora mine in Michigan catching fire liavo been rescued. Floods have taken place in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Houses, mills and bridges liavo been washed away. The damage is estimated at 2,503,000 dollars.
