No entry shall bo received for any race except upon the condition —that all claims, disputes, and objections shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they might appoint, and their decision upon all points shall bo filial. 2. All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of £2, which sum shall be forfeited to the funds if the protest is not sustained. 3. All nominations, entries and acceptances, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, must bo addressed and delivered to the Secretary not later than the advertised time of closing, with performances, pedigree, and colours of rider. 4. No entry will be receivod under any protence whatever after the hoar named. 5. All races shall bo run under the rules of racing, in forco, as adopted by tho Metropolitan Clubs of tho Colony. 6. 5 per cent will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes. Horsos walking over will receive only 50 per cent, of the stakes. 7. Tho Stewards reserve the right to alter the day of meeting, tho amount of added money, or make any addition or alteration to the Meeting at any timo prior to tho nominations becoming due for such meeting, subject to the approval of the Wellington Racing Club. 8. “ Hacks ” shall mean horses that havo never won any advertised stake over <£4o, and that aro not engaged for any Derby, Guineas, St. Loger, or Sapling Stakos at time of nomination, hack races excepted.
